HOW WE DO IT: We employ international best practice(s), blending these with local experience and in-depth public sector knowledge. With our proven experience in low, middle, and high-income countries at community, district, provincial and national levels we are able to leverage globally garnered lessons and package these for various contexts based on relevance and appropriateness. We honor the different cultures, values, and contexts in which our clients and their beneficiaries live. In addition;

  1. Our combined deep expertise and global exposure at all levels of society enable us to constructively challenge underlying assumptions that may negate the centrality of people to lead their own development (or people-centered development).

  2. We apply a wide range of planning approaches to help programs turn ideas into effective action; we aim to disrupt silos thinking, and harness collective resources to cultivate systemic change. We support knowledge transfer in order to strengthen/promote ownership of development interventions by citizens.

  3. We are defined by rigorous analytical skills, bringing together academic thinking and practical experience to offer context-specific and evidence-based advice. We draw on our collective experience, including partnering regularly with our family of skilled consultants, across several countries and sectors, to deliver a wide range of interventions.

  4. We recognize that in increasingly complex operating environments, the needs, and circumstances of our clients can rapidly evolve. We strive to be adaptive and flexible in the roll-out and delivery of our commitments and we work with our partners to ensure that our recommendations and end products are always appropriate and responsive to the needs of our stakeholders, clients, and end-users.

  5. We promote stakeholder engagement: We believe that the best approach is participatory, learning-oriented, and is timely and relevant, premised on tapping into local expertise and networks. This approach extends to those we wish to serve. We have a deep understanding and insight through years of first-hand interaction with local community groups, government departments, and NGOs. We understand that outcomes tend to improve when cooperation is based on mutual knowledge and respect.

  6. We continuously monitor the field for best practices and additional resources to include in our work.

  7. We provide proven leadership in integrating developing and/or elaborating strategic audit focus in organizational change initiatives.
